Movie Vampires

What are the best and worst movie or TV vampire portrayals? I'm curious what you think.

In my opinion, the worst has to be Twilight, just because they can go outside during the day. Easy way to get around writing a high school story with vampires, but seriously, sparkles?

One of the best vampire movies has to be Near Dark. A Kathryn Bigelow film made in 1987, it has a really good cast, including Adrian Pasdar, Lance Henriksen, and Bill Paxton, with Tangerine Dream doing the soundtrack. Worth a watch if you've never seen it.

What vampire movies do you love or hate?

I've seen some corny Vampires and some really cool ones, A good classic is Nosfaratu, and a kinda corny but still cool one is Angel from Buffy:TVS

  2. Twilight.
It missed the whole point of vampires.
I think the writer took a book with monsters in it, closed her eyes and the monster her finger hit was the one she put in the book...

  3. Give me some new movies and tv shows about zombies and I'll be happy.

  4. I haven't seen any of the Twilights and I plan to keep it that way but from what I can tell they are horrendous. The actor who played Pee-Wee Herman plays a vampire in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and it's pretty awesome.

  5. tbh, I love almost all vampire movies and series out there, there are only a few one I don't like, and ya, you can already hate me, somehow I like Twilight :S

Near Dark sounds pretty nice though, haven't seen it yet!

And if you did not see "Bram Stoker’s Dracula", you really need to catch up then, it's simply great, with awesome actors aswell!
